We've taken all the opulence of the 18th century and fused it with some modern elements and lines to make for one stunner of a ballgown or wedding gown. This decadent gown is not for the shy. It commands attention when you walk in the room. The gown is made from your color choice of satin mixed with your color choice of silk taffeta (white on white is shown). Gown features a steel boned corseted bodice. Bodice is shaped more like a Victorian or modern corset which goes gown a few inches onto the hips, instead of the old 18th century style that makes one look a bit more conical and boxy this gown gives a nice hourglass shape to the upper body. Corseted bodice can cinch you in just like a regular corset anywhere from 2-4 inches. The bodice is trimmed with bows which vary in size from large to small down the front of the bodice in the middle of each bow is a swarovski crystal button in clear/silver (buttons will vary from gown to gown we try to keep each gown unique). Bodice laces closed up the back with satin ribbon and has a modesty panel that runs the length of the opening of the gown. Attached to the bodice is a HUGE skirt of satin and taffeta. Skirt is double layered. The front layer opens at the side front and features a wide band of hand tucked and gathered silk taffeta, making for great texture. Where the taffeta piece meets the satin is trimed in gorgeous double row high end swarovski crystal trim in clear/silver. This sparkles and gleams under any light and looks spectacular. The under skirt is made of silk taffeta.
Gown is meant to be worn with either 18th century style panniers/pocket hoops (shown) or with a hoop skirt for a less full on the hips look (hoop skirts make the gown look more bell shaped). This is not included in the price of the gown. We sell the pannier/pocket hoops on this site if you would like to purchase them for us (check the accessory section) and bridal hoops can be purchased at any bridal store or on ebay. This gown is very heavy so keep that in mind when ordering. People looking for something light and airy should go with another style. Because of the weight shipping is a bit more than most of our gowns. Gown takes 4-8 weeks to be made and shipped. Please order in plenty of time. Gown is fully custom sized to your measurements.
